As one of Vietnam’s leading providers of steam, heat, and electricity solutions, Thuan Hai Energy Corporation has long recognized the value of building a sustainable future. Beyond commercial operations, the company is committed to fostering corporate responsibility through three core goals: sustainable business practices, improving quality of life, and protecting the environment.
Greening every step
Over the past decades, Vietnam’s energy industry has expanded rapidly to meet the country’s economic and social development needs. But energy growth often comes with a downside: environmental challenges. Thuan Hai has responded by embedding the principles of green, clean, and sustainable growth into its long-term business strategy.
“Our belief is that the sustainability of a nation stems from the sustainability of each enterprise,” a company representative said. Guided by this philosophy, Thuan Hai has invested in cutting-edge projects to reduce CO2 emissions, adopt advanced waste management technologies, and accelerate the transition from fossil fuels to renewable biomass.
To date, the company has built and operated 10 biomass production plants across Vietnam. These facilities collect rice husks and other agricultural by-products from local communities, transforming them into biomass fuel. This circular model not only reduces waste and emissions but also creates new income streams for farmers, boosts local supply chains, and generates socio-economic value where the company operates.

From humble beginnings with just six employees as a small trading company, Thuan Hai has grown into a major industry player. Today, it employs more than 2,100 staff, runs 10 subsidiaries and affiliates, and manages 60 plants and 135 boilers domestically and abroad.
Planting seeds of happiness in communities
Thuan Hai’s vision of sustainability extends well beyond energy. In 2025, when natural disasters severely damaged schools and dormitories in the northern province of Dien Bien, the company quickly partnered with local authorities and the volunteer group Thien Tam – Diem Truong Cho Em. Together, they built a new dormitory for students at Muong Pon Primary School No. 2, ensuring it was ready for the start of the 2025–2026 academic year. The project brought relief to teachers and students alike, allowing them to return to classrooms with renewed hope.
The company also continues to organize independent charitable initiatives. Last year, it raised donations and visited Mai Am Thien Than orphanage in Vung Tau, providing gifts to children with disabilities. “We believe that small, consistent actions can create rays of hope in the lives of underprivileged children,” the company noted.
Thuan Hai also partnered with the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross to reach families in remote areas. Teams visited households in Chau Pha and Tan Phuoc, offering gifts and support to impoverished families, policy households, and those facing hardship. These personal visits not only provided material assistance but also shared a spirit of compassion and solidarity.

In addition, subsidiaries across the Thuan Hai Group have rolled out meaningful programs. Ahead of the Lunar New Year 2025, Thuan Hai Green JSC launched the campaign “Spring of Love”, delivering nearly 100 Tet gift packages to disadvantaged families in Dong Thap and Can Tho, where the company operates two plants.
A long-term commitment to a green Vietnam
With a vision to become a responsible business championing sustainable development, Thuan Hai has steadily built its reputation in Vietnam’s energy sector. Its efforts in environmental protection and social responsibility demonstrate that profitability and positive impact can go hand in hand.
Community projects—from educational infrastructure to direct household support—underscore the company’s deep-rooted commitment to inclusivity and social equity. These activities not only provide timely relief but also lay the foundation for long-term development, fostering a culture of compassion and mutual support across society.
Alongside social initiatives, Thuan Hai is aligned with Vietnam’s national goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050. The company is actively deploying biomass conversion projects and reducing CO₂ emissions across its boiler systems. These concrete steps reinforce its pioneering role in advancing green energy and ensuring a sustainable future for Vietnam.
“Our journey is about more than energy. It’s about responsibility, compassion, and a vision for a Vietnam where economic growth and environmental protection move forward together,” the company emphasized.
