Located in Truc Ninh District, Nam Dinh Province, Dich Diep Trang is a historic village dating back over a thousand years to the reign of King Ly Thai To. The village has preserved many of its ancient architectural features, including traditional houses, a distinctive village gate, and a curved stone bridge.
Dich Diep Trang embodies the classic characteristics of Vietnamese villages, with notable features such as a temple, a well, and an 800-year-old banyan tree.
In the past, the village was enclosed by gates on both ends and had gates connecting to neighboring villages. Today, only the southern gate remains, connected by a stone bridge that spans a small river, adding to the village’s picturesque scenery.
As visitors stroll along the village’s peaceful pathways, they encounter scenes of rural life, such as the communal yard and traditional water wharf. The ambiance offers an immersive experience of Vietnam’s rustic countryside.
Dich Diep Trang is easily accessible from Nam Dinh City, located about 20 kilometers along National Highway 21A.
