Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday is an excellent chance to learn about Vietnamese traditions. One is making tò he (traditional figurines) and playing with them.
Tò he is a type of Vietnamese folk toy for children, which is a small, colorful figurine made from glutinous rice powder.
In the past, tò he was made and sold on the occasion of festivals, particularly during Tet. Nowadays, the toy can be found in public places in Vietnam thanks to artisans and cultural researchers’ efforts to preserve it.
