HCMC – Over 300,000 train tickets for the upcoming Tet holiday have been sold, leaving only a limited number of tickets for short routes, according to Railway Transport JSC.
As of now, around 6,000 train tickets remain available for pre-Tet travel from HCMC to Hanoi.
Most of the remaining tickets, for the period from January 20 to 26 (21st to 27th of the lunar calendar), are for shorter routes, such as Phan Thiet and Nha Trang, as tickets for longer journeys have already sold out.
For earlier travel dates, from January 15 to 19 (16th to 20th of the lunar calendar), approximately 3,000 tickets are still available from the Saigon Station to various destinations. Most of these are seating tickets, with around 1,000 tickets remaining for the HCMC–Vinh route.
Post-Tet travel from Hanoi to HCMC shows limited availability between January 31 and February 3 (3rd to 6th of the lunar calendar), while tickets for other dates and destinations remain plentiful.
