HCMC – Uniqlo Vietnam, in partnership with the Hope Foundation, has opened two new school facilities and a bathroom in the northern upland provinces of Yen Bai and Son La.
The three projects, funded by Uniqlo Vietnam, are valued at nearly VND2.5 billion.
One of the newly constructed facilities is the Ta Cho campus, part of Kim Noi Preschool in Mu Cang Chai District, Yen Bai. The campus features two classrooms with bathrooms inside and a kitchen serving 50 semi-boarding Mong students.
The other school facility is the Huoi Khoang campus, part of Nam Man Primary and Secondary School in Song Ma District, Son La Province. It comprises three new classrooms, one staff room, and a newly constructed bathroom.
The project provides a modern, friendly teaching and learning environment, ensuring safety and comfort for teachers and nearly 100 Mong and Thai students in the village.
The third project inaugurated during this occasion is the Hope Bathroom, constructed at Lao Chai Primary School for Ethnic Minority Boarding Students in Mu Cang Chai. It is designed to cater to the daily needs of nearly 500 semi-boarding students.
In addition, Uniqlo Vietnam donated 10,000 new HEATTECH thermal shirts worth nearly VND3 billion to students, teachers, parents, and disadvantaged residents in Yen Bai and Son La provinces.
On the inauguration day, the firm also distributed more than 6,000 items from the RE.UNIQLO program, including children’s clothing, men’s and women’s jackets, and winter accessories to the local community.
