HCMC – V-GREEN Global Charging Station Development JSC (V-GREEN) plans to invest VND10 trillion to build 99 electric vehicle charging stations nationwide this year.
The company announced its investment decision today, March 18, with charging stations to be installed along national and provincial highways across the country this year, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
Each station can serve up to 100 electric vehicles simultaneously, with charging times as short as 15 minutes, the firm said. All stations will use electricity from wind and solar farms.
The network will span 34 provinces and cities, with locations arranged to support long-distance and interprovincial travel, including cross-country trips for VinFast electric vehicle users.
V-GREEN said that all stations will rely on renewable energy stored in battery energy storage systems (BESS) developed and produced by VinFast, Vingroup’s electric vehicle brand.
By the end of 2025, the company had completed planning for 150,000 charging ports for electric cars and motorbikes nationwide. In the next phase, V-GREEN will prioritize investment in charging stations for long-distance travel and expand battery swapping systems for electric motorbikes.
