On November 29, VAS, together with senior representatives from Cambridge, hosted the Recognition & Award Ceremony for nearly 600 students who completed and achieved outstanding results in the Cambridge IGCSE, AS, and A Level exams (May-June/2025 series) at the VAS Sala campus.
At the event, VAS and Cambridge representative Melvyn Lim, senior country manager for Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia, awarded the “Top in Vietnam” titles to two students: Le Viet Nam Khoi, Sala campus (Top in Vietnam for Physics, A Level) and Le Uyen Nhi, Ba Thang Hai campus (Top in Vietnam for Psychology, AS Level).
Both students had also previously achieved “Top in Vietnam” awards for Psychology (AS Level) and ICT (IGCSE) in the 2024 Cambridge international exams. To date, VAS students have earned two “Top in the World” awards and 15 “Top in Vietnam” titles across Cambridge IGCSE, AS, and A Level exams from 2017–2025.

In addition, 61 students received trophies for achieving Outstanding Excellence (A–A*) across the majority of their subjects, while 202 students received reward gifts for achieving Good to Excellent grades (B–A) in all of their subjects. These achievements reflect remarkable dedication and academic excellence sustained throughout their learning journey.
VAS also recorded a 27% increase in the number of AS–A Level exam takers, along with a 26% rise in A–A* scores compared to 2024. While IGCSE outcomes remained strong and stable. Across both IGCSE and A Level, VAS students continued to achieve high scores in subjects such as Mathematics, English, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, and Psychology.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bertrand Sauvageons, CEO of VAS, affirmed that the students’ achievements stand as a powerful testament to their hard work, determination, and aspiration to excel.
Cambridge representative Melvyn Lim further emphasized: “Each award presented today stands as proof of the students’ academic excellence, resilience, and determination to pursue success.”

He also reaffirmed that all Cambridge qualifications earned by VAS students follow a standardized and globally consistent assessment system. Top universities worldwide recognize and value the critical thinking, independent research ability, and strong academic foundation that Cambridge learners possess.
Representing the honored students, Tran Quoc Vinh (Grade 12H2, Hoang Van Thu campus) delivered an emotional speech reflecting on the perseverance, discipline, and daily effort required to conquer the Cambridge exams, which he described as “challenging even for the most well-prepared students.”
Yet, Vinh shared, “Every minute and every effort we invested was truly worth it.” He expressed deep gratitude to teachers, school staff, friends, and especially families for their constant support and guidance.

Student Tran Quoc Vinh shared: “We were given the opportunity to build the skills we need to face defining moments. Not only in school but also in the future as we reach for heights we once thought impossible.”
