HCMC – Students of the Vietnam Australia International School (VAS) clinched 25 gold and 29 silver medals at the grand finale of the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC), held in the U.S. in early November.
This year, VAS had 21 students participating in the WSC grand finale, also known as the Tournament of Champions round organized annually at Yale University.
The competition has four primary activities, namely team debate, collaborative writing, scholar’s challenge, and scholar’s bowl. Participants engaged in an extensive range of knowledge domains, including arts and music, literature and media, science and technology, history, and social studies.
Launched in 2006, WSC has become one of the largest international academic competitions for students aged between eight and 18. The competition has offered young scholars a platform to engage, exchange cultural insights with global peers, and promote cultural values of their homeland worldwide.
