HCMC – Vietnamese carrier Vietjet Air has organized a ceremony in Australia to announce a new air service connecting Hanoi, Vietnam, and Melbourne, Australia, with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh witnessing.
Vietjet’s maiden flight between Hanoi and Melbourne is slated for June 3, with a frequency of two weekly services. It takes 10 hours to fly between the two cities.
Flights will depart from Hanoi to Melbourne on Mondays and Thursdays at 17:10 local time. The return flights will leave Melbourne for Hanoi on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 7:30 local time.
The launch of the new air service will facilitate travel between the two cities and countries as a whole.
The inauguration of the Hanoi-Melbourne air service is part of the local airline’s business plan to expand its international flight network. The launch will contribute to boosting cultural and educational exchanges, as well as bolstering economic and tourist growth between Vietnam and Australia.
