HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh today, June 26, co-chaired a dialogue with top executives of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Dalian, China, with the aim of strengthening cooperation to boost Vietnam’s economic growth.
Discussions focused on digital transformation, high technology, green transition, and Vietnam’s role in global supply chains. WEF Founder and Chairman Klaus Schwab praised Vietnam as a “rising star” of the world economy.
PM Chinh mentioned Vietnam’s recent economic achievements, including steady growth and controlled inflation. He outlined the country’s priority areas, including the digital, green, and circular economies, and called for continued partnership with investors.
Vietnam is committed to maintaining political stability, improving the investment environment, and promoting the principle of “harmonious benefits, shared risks” with businesses, the prime minister added.
While business leaders expressed interest in areas like digital economy regulations and renewable energy financing, PM Chinh addressed concerns about electricity supply, assuring that Vietnam would not face shortages and was transitioning to clean energy.
The Government leader announced upcoming regulations related to global minimum tax and investment incentives. He urged the WEF and its partners to enhance cooperation with Vietnam in policy consultation and facilitate Vietnam’s participation in WEF initiatives.
