Vietnam sees no new Covid-19 cases

HCMC – The Ministry of Health reported no new Covid-19 cases this morning, April 17, keeping the country’s cumulative number of confirmed cases at 268, while as many as 14 patients are expected to be discharged from hospital today.

Of 268 confirmed cases in the country, 177 patients have recovered and been released from hospital.

The National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi City will discharge 14 more coronavirus patients who have recovered from the virus, the local media reported.

On April 16, six patients were declared free of Covid-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, including two in Quang Ninh Province, three in Ha Nam Province and one in Ninh Binh Province.

The three critically ill patients, tagged as the 19th, 91st and 161st, have showed some positive signs, with the first being able to be aware of her surroundings. The 19th and 91st no longer had a fever, according to the national steering committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control.
