HCMC – Representatives of Vietnam Exchange (VNX) and Singapore Exchange (SGX) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to enhance cooperation in developing the securities markets of both countries.

The MOU signing ceremony was witnessed by Vietnam’s Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc and Singapore’s Second Minister of Finance Chee Hong Tat.

VNX and SGX aim to develop communication channels that serve the interests of the stock markets in the two countries. This includes cooperation to share information about the activities and legal frameworks of the products traded on their respective stock and derivatives markets.

The MOU paves the way for VNX and SGX to conduct discussions and negotiations on sharing information related to domestic market structures, including legal frameworks, market information, and information supply services.

Additionally, the two sides will exchange information on corporate governance, and experience in establishing principles and practices for listed companies and investors.

They will support and enhance the supervision of compliance with listing regulations of SGX and VNX, promote the image of listed companies in each other’s stock markets, and expand cooperation opportunities.
