Vietnam’s recovered cases of Covid-19 increase to 169

HCMC – Five coronavirus patients in HCMC, 17 in Hanoi and one in Ha Tinh Province have fully recovered, taking the country’s total number of recovered cases to 169 as of tonight, April 14, according to the Ministry of Health.

Among the 17 cases under treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District, Hanoi City, two are foreigners, including a 69-year-old British man who was on a ventilator, while 15 others are Vietnamese.

Meanwhile, three of the five cases declared free of Covid-19 at the Cu Chi field hospital in HCMC are foreigners.

The 17-year-old female resident of Nghe An Province, who was sent to Cau Treo General Hospital in Ha Tinh Province on March 23, was released from the hospital after nearly three weeks of treatment.

The 23 patients tested negative for Covid-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, three times before being discharged from hospitals. They are now in stable condition.

They will continue to self-isolate for another 14 days.
