HCMC – Visa has launched its innovation experience space at the National Innovation Center (NIC) in Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park in Hanoi City.
This space is an integral part of the Innovation City experience area featured within the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2023 (VIIE) framework. This initiative underscores Visa’s commitment to advancing digital transformation efforts in Vietnam.
The innovation space showcases various payment technologies and solutions, with a particular focus on areas like public transportation, home shopping, and in-car shopping. It also introduces mixed reality shopping, which combines online, offline, and virtual-reality retail experiences.
Data by Visa showed that 80% of Vietnamese respondents are familiar with the concept of using augmented reality (AR) for retail shopping, and 30% have utilized it.
Visa’s goal is to enhance user convenience and support small and medium-sized enterprises through Internet of Things (IoT) payments.
Dung Dang, Visa country manager for Vietnam and Laos, said, “The innovation and payment space will be a platform for NIC, Visa, and other relevant public and private agencies to develop initiatives that promote cashless payments in Vietnam.”
She further emphasized that in today’s ever-evolving technological landscape, collaboration among all stakeholders would contribute to the prosperity of Vietnam.
