A 125-meter Bodhisattva statue perched atop Thien Ma Mountain has emerged as a new spiritual landmark in the central province of Quang Ngai. The structure, located within the 90-hectare Thien Ma Spiritual and Cultural Area, is now recognized as the tallest Bodhisattva statue in Southeast Asia.

Completed as part of Minh Duc Pagoda’s expansion, the statue faces the mouth of the Tra Khuc River, a symbolic gesture meant to offer protection and blessings to local fishing communities. Construction began in 2020, and the interior includes 25 floors and an elevator that takes visitors to viewing points overlooking the Tra Khuc River, Quang Ngai’s landscape, and Ly Son Island.
Provincial authorities expect the attraction to bolster spiritual and cultural tourism in the region.
