HCMC – VND272 trillion will be needed for 88 infrastructure projects listed in the investment plan until 2030, according to the HCMC Department of Transport.
The department has submitted a proposal to the HCMC People’s Committee regarding the investment plan for key infrastructure projects in the city in the 2024-2030 period.
The document outlines that priority will be given to 88 infrastructure projects, excluding metro lines, which are being implemented under Resolution No. 49 of the Politburo of the Party Central Committee.
The department’s compilation of this list of 88 projects aims to pinpoint crucial infrastructure in the city for budget planning. It also lays the groundwork for attracting investment and social resources to join in implementing these projects.
Of the VND272 trillion needed, the city’s budget is expected to provide about VND198.7 trillion, while public-private partnership (PPP) arrangements would cover VND69.3 trillion.
The 88 projects include a group of six expressway projects and connecting roads, such as the HCMC-Moc Bai Expressway, the upgrade of the connecting road for the HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway, the expansion of the connecting road for the HCMC-Trung Luong Expressway, and the connecting road for the HCMC-Chon Thanh Expressway.
The city will invest in the Go Cong intersection and create a branch connecting Xa Lo Ha Noi Road to the Go Cong intersection of the city’s Beltway 3, as well as four national highway construction and expansion projects, and 12 intersections and bridge projects, among others.
