HCMC – The 13th Party Central Committee (PCC) has approved Vuong Dinh Hue’s resignation from his positions as member of the Politburo and of the PCC, and chairman of the 15th National Assembly (NA) for the 2021-2026 term.
The PCC made the decision this afternoon, April 26, during its meeting to address personnel issues.
According to a report by the Central Inspection Commission and relevant authorities, Hue was found to have violated the rules on what Party members are banned from doing and on the responsibility of acting as role models for officials and party members, especially for members of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the PCC.
The violations of Hue have caused negative public opinion and impacted the reputation of the Party, the State, and his own, stated the PCC.
Being aware of his responsibility before the Party, the State, and the public, he had tendered his resignation from all his official duties.
