When we think of wine, we typically think of alcohol. But what about wines with no alcohol? In the near future, you could see that everywhere, including in Vietnam. The global health and wellness trend that has influenced our dietary choices, food, and food production has also started to impact wine. “No and low alcohol wines are actually popular in France, and the interest in them is growing outside France too!” revealed Emmanuelle Miller, owner of Vignoble Raguenot, a Bordeaux winery. She introduced her range of no-alcohol wines at the recent ProWine Singapore fair, held from April 23-26, in conjunction with the Food & Hotel Asia—Food & Beverage exhibition at the Singapore Expo. The wine fair attracted over 100 wines and spirits exhibitors from countries such as South Korea, Japan, France, and Ireland, and 7,000 international trade visitors. Sake, whiskey, wine, beer, and more, together with master classes and competitions, made for a lively and insightful exhibition. “As the interest in healthy consumption grows worldwide, this area of wines will see more growth,” Miller said.
