HCMC – Work on the passenger terminal at Long Thanh Airport will begin in August, said the project owner Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV).
The bidding process for the construction and installation of passenger terminal equipment was opened on June 12, and the evaluation and contractor selection will be completed this month.
The first phase of the project will involve the construction of the passenger terminal, as well as the runways, landing facilities, and aircraft parking areas, all of which will commence in August and September of this year.
Originally, the passenger terminal construction was planned to start at the end of 2022, but delays occurred due to the unsuccessful bidding process for contractor selection.
The local authorities have announced that land clearance for the first phase of Long Thanh Airport has been completed. Regarding the connecting roads, over 60% of the land has been acquired for road T1 while land clearance for road T2 is still in progress.
