HCMC – The global leader in science and innovation, 3M, has officially opened a science and technology center in Hanoi as part of its business expansion in Vietnam.
The inauguration ceremony was held recently in Gia Lam District, Hanoi City. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc and U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Marc E. Knapper.
Deputy Minister Ngoc highlighted the new innovation center as a step forward in Vietnam’s goal of becoming a global hub in innovation.
She said the country is undergoing a strategic shift towards a digital, green, and circular economy, with the center being a component of this transformation.
The 3M modern center will not only provide a range of solutions for traffic safety and the commercial market but also introduce advanced electronic technologies and solutions currently being implemented across Southeast Asia.
Ambassador Knapper stated the establishment of the center in Vietnam underscores 3M’s commitment to fostering local innovation and reflects the strong partnership between the U.S. and Vietnam.
