Two Grade-12 students from the Vietnam Australia International School (VAS), Riverside Campus, have recently received early admission offers from some of the world’s top universities, marking the beginning of a promising “admissions and scholarship season” for VAS students in the 2025-2026 academic year.

Dong Gia Nghi secures offers from Ireland’s top universities

On March 11, 2026, Dong Gia Nghi received an admission offer from Trinity College Dublin, ranked number one in Ireland and recognized as one of the world’s most prestigious and historic universities, with over 430 years of academic legacy since its establishment by Queen Elizabeth I in 1592.

Trinity College Dublin was also visited by Vietnam’s Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, along with a high-level delegation on October 2, 2024.

At Trinity, Gia Nghi has been offered a place in the undergraduate programme in Management Science and Information Systems Studies, beginning in September 2026. Her admission is conditional on achieving AAA in her final A Level examinations, including at least a grade C in Mathematics.

In addition, Gia Nghi has received an offer from University College Dublin (UCD), ranked No. 2 in Ireland, for the bachelor’s programme in Computational Social Science for the 2026 to 2027 academic year, along with a €3,000 scholarship. The scholarship requires a minimum of ABB in A Levels, while admission is conditional on achieving at least BBC in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science.

These requirements reflect the highly selective nature of Irish universities and the strong academic readiness expected of incoming students. Both programmes Gia Nghi has been admitted demanding advanced analytical thinking, data literacy, and the ability to engage with complex systems.

Recognition from these leading institutions not only affirms Gia Nghi’s academic capabilities but also highlights her clear direction, consistency, and thorough preparation in choosing her future field of study. Notably, both programmes are interdisciplinary, combining computation, data analysis, and social research – demonstrating her strategic vision and long-term academic planning.

Hoang Ngoc Anh Minh admitted to NUS – Top 8 globally, No.1 in Asia

Alongside Gia Nghi, Hoang Ngoc Anh Minh, also a Grade 12 student at VAS Riverside, has received an admission offer from the National University of Singapore (NUS), ranked No. 1 in Asia and No. 8 globally in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2026.

“With your scholastic and personal accomplishments, alongside your potential for future academic success, we are confident that you will bring unique and valuable contributions to the NUS community,” wrote Professor Tan Eng Chye, president of NUS, in the offer letter.

“While you have identified Chemical Engineering as your preferred Major, you will have the flexibility to pursue your indicated preferred Major or any of the Majors under the Engineering programme of the College of Design and Engineering. We will guide you in charting your individualized learning pathway,” the letter added.

NUS is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading universities, known for its highly competitive admissions standards and innovative academic environment. Anh Minh’s achievement reflects not only strong academic performance but also determination, intellectual curiosity, and a readiness to pursue her passions.

The accomplishments of Gia Nghi and Anh Minh mark the beginning of a successful university admissions and scholarship season for VAS students in the 2025-2026 academic year.
