HCMC – Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi has been picked as chairman of the State Securities Commission (SSC), replacing Tran Van Dung who was removed from the position for his responsibility for stock market manipulation by some individuals and organizations.
Deputy Minister Chi said that measures would be promptly taken to stabilize the stock market.
The Ministry of Finance will quickly upgrade the trading system of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE).
Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc on May 19 dismissed Tran Van Dung from the position of chairman at SSC for his serious violations and shortcomings while on duty, the local media reported.
The Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission earlier stripped Tran Van Dung of all his Party posts.
