HCMC – The Nordic Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (NordCham) will hold its second annual business awards at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza in HCMC on October 28 to celebrate the best of Nordic businesses in Vietnam.
The event will gather around 200 business leaders, investors and diplomats from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
Themed “Nordic Lights”, the second Nordic Business Awards – and the first to be held in person after the 2021 celebration was hosted online – will recognize Nordic enterprises in Vietnam in six categories: “Green Business of the Year”, “Best Sustainable Business Initiative (SME)”, “Best Talent Development Strategy”, “Most Innovative Project”, “Work the Nordic Way (Diversity & Inclusion)” and “Nordic Growth”.
The winners will be announced at night and the top four will also go through to the finals of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) business awards on November 29.
The Nordic Business Awards will also feature a Nordic menu, entertainment, live music and a raffle.
Commenting ahead of the event, NordCham chairman Thue Quist Thomasen said, “The 2022 NordCham business awards will showcase the best that Nordic companies have to offer and highlight their contribution to innovative, sustainable and inclusive business in Vietnam. We will also look ahead, aiming to build on this success and attract even more companies from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden to invest and do business in Vietnam in 2023.”
David Liden, chair of the Nordic Business Awards Judges Panel, added, “We have a difficult decision to choose winners from such a crowded field of impressive applicants. We have received more than twice the number of nominations in 2022 compared to our first event in 2021. This shows the strength of our chamber and the success of Nordic businesses in Vietnam. I would like to thank all those who took the time to enter and wish all our nominees the best of luck.”
NordCham is a not-for-profit, non-political, non-governmental organization representing more than 140 members from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland.
