HCMC – Vietnam-China border gates in Guangxi Province are fully opened through New Year’s Day and Lunar New Year holidays as China has eased its Covid-19 restrictions, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The border office of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region announced that it would maintain customs clearance during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday to ensure smooth supply chains and facilitate trade between the two sides.

From December 31, 2022, to January 2, 2023, the import-export activities were carried out normally through the border gates of Huu Nghi or Youyi Guan (including Po Chai and Lung Vai openings), Ai Diem adjacent to Lang Son Province, and Dong Hung or Dongxing adjacent to Mong Cai, Quang Ninh Province.

From January 21 to January 27 (or from December 30 to January 6, 2023, in the lunar calendar), all border gates in Guangxi Province will carry out customs clearance with appointments.

Previously, the China General Administration of Customs announced the removal of all nucleic acid amplification tests (NAAT) on Covid-19 prevention for imported goods (including frozen goods) from January 8, 2023.

The authorities of provinces and autonomous regions have been assigned to ensure normal and stable customs clearance of goods and passenger transport at border gates.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade requested businesses and localities to update information about the customs clearance at the China-Vietnam border gates, as well as closely coordinate with local authorities to regulate the flow of export goods in the areas.
