HCMC – Bac Ninh, Son La and Vinh Phuc provinces in the northern region have decided to ease social distancing as they have brought the Covid-19 pandemic under control.

Bac Ninh Province today, September 13, allowed sports activities to resume, but indoor activities must not gather more than 10 persons, while outdoor ones must avoid gatherings of over 20 persons.

In addition, barbershops were told not to serve more than 10 persons at a time, the local media reported.

Makeshift markets and foreign language centers were also allowed to reopen, while the province allowed taxis to operate on provincial routes.

Besides, eateries or restaurants were required to operate at 50% of their capacity and install plastic divider curtains between customers.

The decision to ease social distancing, except for Dai Dong Commune in Tien Du District, was made as new Covid cases have been detected in only Dai Dong Commune. These cases had earlier been placed under quarantine.

Elsewhere in Vinh Phuc, Vu Viet Van, vice chairman of the province, said that some production and transport activities had been resumed as no Covid infections were detected in the community for a month.

Apart from the reopening of tourist destinations, golf courses, sports clubs or centers and eateries or restaurants were also allowed to resume, but must operate at 50% of their capacity.

The province also allowed the reopening of lodging facilities, but they must not offer karaoke and massage services.

Meanwhile, Son La Province on September 12 restarted many services and activities, except for those in Phu Yen District. Since April 29, the province has reported 251 Covid cases, with 250 detected in the district.

Barbershops, spas and beauty centers in the province were allowed to reopen, but must not serve more than 10 persons at a time, while the province also allowed the reopening of sporting and cultural facilities and religious sites, but limited the number of visitors to 20.
