HCMC – A quarter for nighttime activities is set to be developed on Road No. 1 in the Trung Son residential area in Binh Chanh District, HCMC. This project will feature 252 retail booths and attract investment from the private sector.
The HCMC Department of Industry and Trade is currently seeking feedback from other related departments and agencies on the plan to develop Trung Son night quarter, which is part of Binh Chanh District’s tourism development plan.
As proposed by the district, Trung Son night quarter in Binh Hung Commune would be operational from 18:00 to 24:00 every day. It will consist of two sections totaling nearly one kilometer in length, with one section running from road No. 8 to road No. 9A and the other from the boundary with road No. 8 to road No. 4.
The area is expected to feature 92 food stalls, 91 commercial booths, 19 booths showcasing local specialties, and 50 souvenir booths. There would be an amusement park for kids, a 5,000-sq.m square, three parking lots, and other supporting facilities at the night quarter.
The VND23-billion project would be funded by the private sector.
Binh Chanh expects that Trung Son night quarter would create favorable conditions for the development of services, tourism, and trade for businesses and cooperatives in the district. The night quarter is also expected to contribute to job creation, promote the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, and facilitate waterway tourism.
