HCMC – DoanXa Port JSC, which trades its DXP shares on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, plans to pay a 5% cash dividend and issue bonus shares for shareholders at a 10% ratio, with the record date being June 20 and the payment date July 7.
The company will spend nearly VND30 billion paying the cash dividend and issuing about six million shares.
According to its first-quarter earnings report, the company holds VND363 billion in cash and equivalents, equal to 40% of its total assets and 42.8% of equity. The company has no bank debt or bond debt.
DXP expanded business into the asphalt sector in 2023, which helped the company make revenue of a record VND410.6 billion. Now, the company plans to invest in modern infrastructure in major economic hubs, aiming to become a top asphalt retailer within five years.
DXP looks to turn out 56,700 tons of asphalt in 2024, with profit from this segment projected at VND21.7 billion, five times higher than in 2023. This will account for 25.52% of the company’s profit target.
DXP’s 2024 business plan includes VND804 billion in revenue and VND75 billion in pre-tax profit, an 87% surge in revenue and a 7% rise in pre-tax profit compared to 2023.
Wrapping up the trading session today, June 11, DXP edged up by 0.66% to VND15,300 per share, with nearly 1.4 million shares traded.
The VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange lost 6.26 points, or 0.49%, on Tuesday, closing at 1,284.41 points as 301 stocks declined and 146 advanced on the HOSE.
Trading volume increased by nearly 16% to nearly one million shares, with a total value of VND25.42 trillion, up by 17% from the previous session. Block deals contributed 134 million shares worth VND3.1 trillion.
Within the VN30 basket, which groups the 30 largest-cap stocks on the southern exchange, blue-chip stocks remained largely stable.
POW and PLX were the top gainers, rising 3.7% and 3% to VND14,150 VND and VND43,200, respectively. Other blue chips, including STB, TCB, SSI, VPB, VIB and FPT, saw minor gains from 0.3% to 1.7%.
On the other hand, VJC was the steepest decliner, dropping 2.9% to VND105,800. Other notable losers included ACB, VNM, MWG, BVH, HDB, GVR, MSN, VRE and VHM, with losses between 1% and 1.9%.
VPB was the most actively traded stock on the southern bourse, with over 31 million shares changing hands, followed by HPG with nearly 27 million shares traded.
Meanwhile, the HNX-Index of the Hanoi Stock Exchange gained 0.83 points, or 0.34%, to close at 246.41 points. The northern exchange recorded 77 gainers and 101 losers, with trading volume reaching 86.9 million shares worth a total of VND1.7 trillion.
