HCMC – A warehouse collapsed in the northern province of Ninh Binh today, August 9, with one person reported dead and two others injured, the local media reported.
The collapse of the warehouse in Ninh Van Commune, Hoa Lu District happened at around 8:30 a.m. while workers were inside the grain storage facility. Witnesses reported that the roof and walls of the warehouse suddenly gave way.
Nearby residents heard a loud noise and quickly discovered the collapsed structure. Emergency services were immediately alerted, and local residents helped rescue those trapped under the debris.
Firefighters, ambulances, and excavators were swiftly deployed to the scene. The injured workers were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The cause of the collapse is currently under investigation.
The identities of the victims have not been released.
