HCMC – The government of HCMC has unveiled a plan to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with digital transformation until 2025, aiming to optimize operations and boost business efficiency.
The plan outlines the deployment of digital platforms designed to expedite digital transformation for SMEs. By 2025, the goal is for all SMEs in HCMC to have access to these platforms, with at least 60% actively using them.
The HCMC Department of Information and Communications will lead efforts in collaboration with other relevant agencies to distribute materials on digital transformation, promoting the adoption of technology platforms among SMEs. Businesses involved in the program will receive tailored consultations and in-depth training, adjusted to their scale, phase, and sector of digital transformation.
Alongside city agencies, the initiative involves the Department of Digital Economy and Society under the Ministry of Information and Communications, the HCMC Computer Association (HCA), the HCMC Union of Business Associations (HUBA), and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s HCMC chapter.
Funding for the program will be sourced from the state budget as well as contributions and sponsorships from businesses and organizations.
