HCMC – The south-central province of Binh Thuan has given the green light to local travel companies to bring tourists back from October 24 as proposed by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Hotels, resorts and tourists must comply with the safety guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Binh Thuan’s provisional rules on safely and flexibly living with the Covid-19 pandemic, the local media reported.
Tourist sites and lodging facilities are allowed to serve tourists who were either fully vaccinated or recovered from Covid. Employees at these facilities who deal directly with guests must also meet the same requirements.
Employees in other units must get at least one vaccine shot. The lodging facilities must test tourists on the first and seventh days after their arrival and prepare QR codes for guests to file health declarations.
In areas with a low risk of pandemic transmission, the capacity of lodging facilities is not limited. However, they must arrange no more than two people per room. Indoor and outdoor catering service providers must concurrently serve no more than 30 and 50 people, respectively, and each table should have no more than five people.
In moderate-risk areas, lodging facilities must not operate above 70% capacity. The maximum number of people using indoor and outdoor catering services at the same time must be 20 and 30, respectively.
In high-risk areas, lodging facilities are allowed to operate at a maximum capacity of 50%. Only in-room dining is permitted. In addition, lodging facilities must neither organize meetings, seminars, conferences and sporting events nor provide massage, video game, gym and yoga services.
Meanwhile, lodging facilities and tourist sites in extremely-high-risk areas are still banned from operation.
Binh Thuan has recorded nearly 4,500 Covid-19 cases, 64 of them dead.
