HCMC – Domestic gold ring prices shot up to an all-time high of VND82.5 million per tael today morning (September 25), driven by rising global gold prices, according to local media reports.
As of 10 a.m., PNJ adjusted up its gold ring prices to VND81.5 million per tael for buying and VND82.5 million per tael for selling, up by VND800,000 and VND850,000 per tael compared to the previous session, respectively.
Similarly, the HCMC-base jewelry firm SJC listed its gold ring prices at VND80.8 million per tael for buying and VND82.3 million per tael for selling, a rise of VND800,000 on the buying side and VND1 million on the selling side.
Bao Tin Minh Chau’s plain gold rings were trading at between VND81.38 million and VND82.48 million per tael for buying and selling, up by VND840,000 for both.
In contrast, SJC-brand gold bar prices remained stable. Both DOJI and SJC are offering gold bars at VND81.5 million per tael for buying and VND83.5 million per tael for selling.
Globally, gold prices rose by 1.1% to US$2,656.38 per ounce, briefly reaching a record high of US$2,654.96 per ounce on September 24, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
