FPT joins forces with Australia’s Ascending Strategies for digital services expansion

HCMC – FPT Corporation (HOSE: FPT) has signed an agreement with Australian consulting firm Ascending Strategies to boost digital transformation services in Australia, New Zealand, and other markets.

The partnership aims to expand both firms’ capacity in providing digital solutions and taps into technology demand in Australia and nearby regions.

The signing event was attended by Renée Deschamps, Australian deputy ambassador to Vietnam, signaling increasing business collaboration between the two countries.

Under the agreement, Ascending Strategies will connect FPT to clients in sectors including real estate, construction, education, and energy.

Closing the trading session today, October 4, FPT barely increased, rising 0.07% to VND134,100, with a trading volume of nearly 1.5 million shares.

With 101 winners and 290 losers, the VN-Index lost 7.5 points, or 0.59%, to 1,270.6 points. Trading volume and value shrank 40% over the previous session, with 610 million shares worth over VND13.7 trillion changing hands. Block deals accounted for 41.2 million shares valued at VND1.04 trillion.

A few large-cap stocks like FPT, MWG, GAS, POW and PLX rose by about 1% each, helping prevent the main index from falling further.

On the other hand, VNM dropped by 2.6% to VND68,500, taking the VN-Index down 0.89 point. Other bluechips such as STB, CTB, SSB and VRE lost between 1.5% and 1.9%.

Bank stocks continued to attract investor interest. MBB, TPB, TCB and VPB recorded the highest matched orders on the southern market, with volume ranging from 18.6 million to 34.2 million shares each.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index lost 0.68 point, or 0.29%, to 232.67 points, with 61 gainers and 86 decliners. Trading volume on the northern market reached 52.06 million shares totaling VND1.1 trillion.
