BAF to issue 10% stock dividend, 10% bonus shares

HCMC – BAF Vietnam Agriculture JSC (HOSE: BAF) will issue a 10% stock dividend and a 10% bonus share allocation to existing shareholders, with June 22 set as the record date for determining eligibility.

The company will issue more than 30.4 million shares as a stock dividend at a 10:1 ratio, giving shareholders one new share for every 10 shares held.

BAF will also gift more than 30.4 million bonus shares to existing shareholders at the same ratio.

According to the company, the stock dividend will be funded by undistributed after-tax profit recorded in its audited standalone 2025 financial statements. The bonus share issue will draw on share premium reserves reported in the same statements.

Following the two issues, BAF’s charter capital is expected to increase from more than VND3.04 trillion to over VND3.64 trillion.

For 2026, BAF looks to obtain revenue of VND8.43 trillion, up 67% from the previous year, and after-tax profit of VND793 billion, more than six times its 2025 result.

In the first quarter of 2026, BAF reported revenue of more than VND1.77 trillion, up 57.4% from a year earlier. After-tax profit rose 54.4% year-on-year to VND206.2 billion, achieving 26% of the company’s full-year profit target.

Closing the trading session today, June 9, BAF edged up 0.29% to VND34,650, with nearly 1.58 million shares changing hands.

Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index rose 2.52 points, or 0.14%, to 1,793.05 at the close, lifted by gains in banking shares led by ACB.

On the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, 174 stocks advanced and 128 others declined. Total trading volume reached more than 527.1 million shares worth VND13.74 trillion, down more than 26% in volume and 27% in value from the previous session. Block deals accounted for more than 103 million shares valued at VND2.45 trillion.

ACB was the top performer among blue chips, climbing 5% to VND26,500. It also recorded the market’s highest matched trading volume at more than 48.7 million shares. Lender STB gained 3.2% to VND72,000, with matched volume exceeding 8.2 million shares.

Other large-cap stocks also ended higher. MSN rose more than 2%, while HPG, FPT, VJC, VPB, MWG, and SHB posted gains of around 1%.

On the losing side, Vingroup-related stocks VIC, VHM, and VRE declined, along with oil and gas shares GAS, BSR, and PLX. Most of the losses were modest.

Speculative small- and mid-cap stocks continued to rally. VNE, HSL, C32, BKG, and LDG all hit their daily upper limits, though trading liquidity remained moderate.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index rose 7.38 points, or 2.47%, to 305.74 points, supported by gains in THD.

The northern bourse saw 71 stocks rise and 71 others fall. Matched trading volume totaled more than 44 million shares, with a value of VND638.6 billion.
