HCMC – A high-speed boat service connecting Halong and Cat Ba town will be launched on November 15, with a travel time of just one hour.
The boat was successfully test operated on October 18 at Halong International Passenger Port. Passengers, including both residents and tourists, will be charged VND250,000 per person for a one-way ticket.
Quang Ninh Chairman said that this new service marks the first modern high-speed passenger transport route by sea, linking the renowned Halong Bay and the Cat Ba Archipelago.
The European-standard boat can carry 300 passengers, travel at up to 28 nautical miles per hour, and operate safely in adverse weather conditions, withstanding wind speeds up to level 7.
