HCMC – Nguyen Yen Linh, daughter of the board chairman of Masan Group Corporation (HOSE: MSN), has registered to acquire 10 million MSN shares, or a stake of 0.66%.
Currently, Linh does not hold any MSN shares. Her MSN share acquisition plan will take place from October 29 to November 11.
Closing the session today, MSN inched down to VND77,200 per share. Based on the current price, Linh will spend around VND772 billion purchasing the 10 million MSN shares.
Masan recorded net revenue of VND21.5 trillion in the third quarter of 2024, a rise of 6.6% versus the year-ago period. Its after-tax profit reached VND701 billion, a 13.5-fold increase compared to the third quarter of 2023.
Regarding stock news today, October 25, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange lost 4.69 points, or 0.37%, against the day earlier to end at 1,252.72 points, with 136 winners and 207 losers.
There were over 569.1 million units worth VND13.8 trillion traded the southern exchange, down by 15.5% in volume and 13.75% in value against the previous session. Block deal transactions contributed over 43.97 million shares worth VND1.36 trillion.
The VN30 basket performed poorly, closing down by more than four points, with 19 stocks declining and only four remaining in the green.
Among the declining stocks, GVR led with a loss of 2%, while BID, falling 1% to VND47,500 per share, had the most significant impact on the market, taking away nearly 0.7 point from the overall index.
On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index inched down by 0.06 point, or 0.03%, at 224.63 points, with 56 advancers and 81 decliners. Around 36.3 million shares worth VND581 billion were transacted.
