Nearly 5,000 social homes launched in Q3

HCMC – Eight new social housing projects were initiated nationwide in the third quarter, adding nearly 5,000 affordable housing units to the market, according to the Ministry of Construction.

Among these, the W3-West Sky building in Thua Thien-Hue Province has been partially opened, providing 200 units. Construction has officially started on four additional projects, which will deliver 2,084 units for low-income people.

Construction permits have also been issued for three more social residential projects, totalling 2,676 units. These include two projects in Hoa Binh Province’s Trung Minh A and Trung Minh B new urban areas, with the third project in Can Tho City.

From 2021 through the end of Q3 2024, a total of 622 social housing projects have been implemented across Vietnam, comprising 565,177 units. Specifically, 79 projects have been completed, 131 are under construction, and 412 are in preparation.
