Culinary artistry shines

“I am thrilled to be here, and yes, the competition level is exceptionally high!” exclaimed Cherry Le Thi Kieu Oanh, president of the Vietnam Pastry Alliance and a Chef-Judge at the International Food Service & Hospitality Fair FHA-HoReCa 2024, held at the Singapore Expo from October 22-25. The bustling 50,000-square-meter venue at Singapore Expo in Changi drew over 45,000 trade visitors from more than 30 countries. With chefs in tall white hats and aprons mingling among industry professionals, attendees explored the latest in baking equipment, hotel amenities, coffee machines, boba milk tea balls, gelato mixers, syrups, flavorings, and more. As the region’s premier hospitality event, FHA-HoReCa attracted over 800 exhibitors across five specialized sectors: bakery, pastry & gelato; foodservice & hospitality equipment; hospitality style; hospitality technology; and specialty coffee & tea. In the midst of this vibrant setting, Chef Cherry Le took on dual roles, serving as both a judge and the Vietnam team manager. Together with chef-judges from Asia and Europe, she evaluated the Asian Gelato Cup, the FHA Bakery Challenge, and the FHA Dessert Challenge.
