HCMC – Hanoi Beer Alcohol and Beverage Joint Stock Corporation (Habeco), whose BHN shares are traded on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE), announced that it will on June 10 finalize the list of shareholders eligible for its 2023 cash dividend payment at 11.5%.
Shareholders will receive VND1,150 for each share held. The ex-dividend date is June 9, and the payment is scheduled for July 10.
With 231.8 million shares outstanding, Habeco is expected to spend around VND266.6 billion on the dividend payment.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade, the largest shareholder with a 81.79% stake, will receive nearly VND165 billion in dividend from BHN.
At its 2025 annual general meeting, Habeco approved a plan to pay a cash dividend of 8.5% for this year. The company also set targets of VND7.47 trillion in revenue from sales and services and VND278 billion in pre-tax profit.
Closing the trading session today, May 26, BHN rose by 0.27% to VND36,900, with 3,500 shares changing hands.
On the stock market, robust capital inflows lifted the overall market, with textile and seafood stocks surging. The HOSE saw 253 gainers and 72 decliners, with the VN-Index rising 18.05 points, or 1.37% against the previous session to 1,332.51 points, the highest level in more than two months.
Total trading volume reached nearly 1.03 billion shares, worth around VND23.18 trillion, up 43.2% in volume and 37.2% in value. Block trades contributed over 66.7 million shares, valued at VND1.8 trillion.
The VN30 basket followed the overall market trend, closing up more than 15 points with 21 gainers and only four decliners – STB, VRE, ACB, and HPG – each dipping slightly by around 0.5%.
GVR closed at its ceiling price, while VHM jumped 6.8% to its intraday high of VND73,500, contributing nearly five points to the VN-Index.
Textile and seafood stocks staged a strong rally, with numerous tickers hitting their ceiling prices, including FMC, ASM, IDI, VHC, ANV in the seafood sector, and HTG, MSH, TCM, GIL in the textile group.
On the northern exchange, the HNX-Index rose 3.09 points, or 1.43%, to 219.41 points, with 108 gainers and 55 decliners. Around 79.8 million shares worth a total of VND1.24 trillion were traded.
