HCMC – Vietnam now has nine restaurants awarded one Michelin star in the 2025 Michelin Guide, including one newly promoted restaurant and one newcomer to the list.
Michelin Guide officially unveiled its latest selections for Hanoi, HCMC, and Danang on the evening of June 5 in Danang. The 2025 edition features a total of 181 food establishments across the three cities.
The breakdown includes 109 restaurants under the Michelin Selected category, 63 recognized with the Michelin BibGourmand distinction for offering quality food at affordable prices, nine awarded one Michelin star, and two granted the Michelin Green Star for sustainable practices.
CieL in HCMC earned a one-star rating on its first entry into the guide, while Coco Dining, also in HCMC, was promoted to one star.
The updated guide also added new entries from all three cities:

Hanoi: 10 new listings (5 Bib Gourmand, 5 Michelin Selected, and 1 Green Star)

Danang: 7 new listings (4 Bib Gourmand and 3 Michelin Selected)
In addition to restaurant rankings, Michelin Guide honored individuals and businesses in Vietnam’s F&B industry through special awards. Le Viet Hong, born in 1992, received the Young Chef Award for his work at the newly starred CieL in HCMC. Paul Vo from Nephele Restaurant in HCMC was recognized with the Sommelier Award for his expertise in wine service, while Nha Huynh of Man Moi Restaurant, also in HCMC, received the Service Award for his exceptional contributions to hospitality.
Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guides, acknowledged the growing number of starred restaurants and the talented chefs behind them. He highlighted how many chefs are blending modern techniques with traditional flavors to reflect their roots.
This marks the third consecutive year Michelin Guide has released a selection in Vietnam. The 2023 edition launched in Hanoi, followed by HCMC in 2024, and Danang in 2025.
