HCMC – The Party Central Committee’s Secretariat has expelled three former officials from the Party for serious violations of Party regulations and State laws.

The individuals who lost their Party membership are Vo Van Chanh, former vice chairman of the Dong Nai Province People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Tien, former vice chairman of the Hau Giang Province People’s Council and Tran Ngoc Thuan, former chairman of the Vietnam Rubber Group.

The decision has been made today June 6 following a meeting to consider disciplinary measures proposed by the Central Inspection Commission.

According to the Secretariat, the three had shown signs of degradation of political ideology, morality, and lifestyle. They violated Party regulations and State laws while performing their official duties, particularly in the fight against corruption and negative practices.

Their actions caused severe consequences, stirred public discontent, and adversely affected the reputation of Party organizations and local authorities.

The Secretariat requested relevant authorities to impose corresponding administrative penalties.

All the three individuals had previously been charged in separate criminal cases.

At its 56th meeting on May 29, the Central Inspection Commission concluded that their misconduct warranted disciplinary measures and recommended their expulsion from the Party.
