As the Lai Giang River winds its way toward the East Sea, its blue water blends with sweeping stretches of alluvial sand, painting a tranquil and unspoiled natural tableau. This serene destination beckons travelers who seek out pristine landscapes, still largely untouched by the footprints of tourism.

Nestled in Hoai Nhon Town in the old province of Binh Dinh, now Gia Lai Province, the estuary of the Lai Giang River serves as a vital gateway to nearby fishing grounds. It offers a safe haven for the boats of fishermen from Thach Xuan, Ca Cong, and Hoai Huong villages as they pursue their daily livelihoods. Gazing seaward, long sand dunes rise gently, as if “embracing” the river’s currents before they dissolve into the boundless ocean.

Upon arrival, visitors are greeted with sweeping vistas of sky, sea, and sand dunes from the crest of casuarina hill—a serene vantage point that invites quiet reflection. For those eager to capture the full grandeur of the landscape, using a drone offers a breathtaking aerial perspective.

The journey from downtown Quy Nhon to the Lai Giang estuary spans roughly 100 kilometers and takes about two hours by car, making for a scenic drive through the heart of the central province.
