HCMC – PV GAS (HOSE: GAS) has announced that it will on August 29 finalize the list of shareholders eligible for its 2024 cash dividend payment at 21%, equivalent to VND2,100 per share.
With nearly 2,342.7 million shares outstanding, the company will need to allocate around VND4,920 billion for dividend payment.
The dividend is expected to be paid on November 25.
The firm will issue bonus shares at a ratio of 100:3, meaning that shareholders holding 100 shares will receive three new shares. Any fractional shares (if any) will be canceled.
PV GAS has not yet released its financial report for the second quarter of 2025. As of the end of the first quarter, the company had recorded revenue of over VND25.7 trillion, up 10.11% year-on-year. Its after-tax profit reached VND2.8 trillion, up 8.62%.
Closing the trading session today, August 1, GAS inched down by 0.15% against the previous session to VND67,600, with 889,400 shares changing hands.
On the southern exchange, the VN-Index dropped 7.31 points, or 0.49% day-on-day, at 1,495.21 points, with 141 winners and 180 losers.
Over 1.44 billion shares worth VND38.7 trillion were transacted, down 15% in volume and 11% in value compared to the previous session. Block deal transactions contributed more than 69.3 million shares, worth VND2,635 billion.
Among the blue-chip stocks, CTG fell by 3.5% to VND44,300, while SSI slid nearly 3% to VND33,200. VNM, VIB, and BCM also recorded losses of over 2%.
Meanwhile, notable gains were seen only in FPT and HDB, both rising over 2%. SSB experienced sharp volatility, at one point hitting the ceiling price but ended the session up just 0.5% at VND19,600.
SHB remained the most actively traded stock, with a matching volume exceeding 120 million shares. Its price edged up 1.2% to VND17,400.
On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index lost 1.41 points, or 0.53%, to 264.93 points, with 71 gainers and 100 decliners. Total trading volume reached over 190.4 million shares, with a value of VND3.9 trillion.
