HCMC – Century Synthetic Fiber Corporation (HOSE: STK) will issue nearly 43.5 million shares to pay its 2024 dividend.
The record date for shareholders is October 31. The ratio is 100:45, meaning shareholders will get 45 new shares for every 100 held. Fractional shares will be cancelled.
The share issue is valued at about VND434.9 billion at par value and will be funded from undistributed post-tax profits as of December 31, 2024.
If completed, STK’s outstanding shares will rise from 96.6 million to more than 140.1 million. Charter capital will increase from VND966.4 billion to over VND1.4 trillion.
In the first half of 2025, the company reported revenue of VND709.8 billion, up 24.7% from a year earlier. It posted after-tax profit of VND29.6 billion, compared with a loss of VND55 billion in the same period last year.
STK has set a 2025 revenue target of VND3.27 trillion and a net profit of VND309.8 billion. By mid-year, it had achieved 21.7% of its revenue goal and 9.6% of its profit target.
As of June 30, total assets rose VND67.8 billion from the start of the year to VND3.88 trillion. Liabilities stood at VND2.14 trillion, up VND38.7 billion.
STK edged down 0.98% from the previous session to VND25,150, with a trading volume of 58,200 shares.
Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index gained 3.35 points, or 0.20%, to close at 1,665.05 on Wednesday, with 175 stocks advancing and 139 declining.
Trading volume fell 37% from the previous session to 717.5 million shares, while value dropped 34% to VND21.3 trillion. Block deals contributed 83.8 million shares worth VND2.67 trillion.
Bank stocks showed mixed performance. STB jumped 5.1% to VND59,800, the top gainer in the sector. LPB rose over 3% to VND51,000 and TPB added 2.65% to VND19,300. TCB advanced 1.85% to VND38,550 and CTG gained 1.38% to VND51,500. HDB and VPB edged lower.
Securities stocks were broadly stable, with six gainers, five decliners and the rest unchanged. VIX rose 2.49% to VND37,000, while FTS, VCI and CTS each lost more than 1%.
In the real estate sector, VRE increased 3.27% to VND33,150, alongside LDG and CTD, which also climbed more than 3%. SGR fell 3.98% to VND22,900, the sharpest drop in the group.
SHB took the lead by liquidity with 47.5 million shares traded, followed by VIX with 31.1 million and HPG with 29.8 million.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index moved sideways, inching up 0.06 point, or 0.02%, to 273.22, with 81 gainers and 71 decliners. Stock trade fell 42% in volume to 68.9 million shares and 46.5% in value to VND1.46 trillion.
