HCMC – The Ministry of Finance has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with JP Morgan, marking a new stage in cooperation between the two sides.

The signing took place on October 28, during a meeting between Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang and Karl Yeh, managing director and head of Public Sector Coverage for Asia Pacific at J.P. Morgan, one of the world’s leading financial institutions, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

The event was part of activities held on the sidelines of Party General Secretary To Lam’s official visit to the U.K.

Under the MOU, the two sides agreed to explore opportunities to enhance Vietnam’s access to and mobilization of international capital. They also plan to organize dialogues and meetings with global investors to strengthen engagement and promote Vietnam’s image in international financial markets.

Since establishing its presence in Vietnam, JP Morgan has remained committed to supporting the country’s capital market development and acting as a bridge to attract more foreign investment. The bank has also continued to provide financial services to assist Vietnamese firms.

Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang expressed hope that JP Morgan would continue to support the Vietnamese Government and local businesses in the years ahead.
