HCMC – International flights through Middle Eastern airspace remain disrupted, forcing major carriers to cancel or reroute flights to and from Vietnam due to partial closures and restrictions. These disruptions have affected around 3,300 passengers booked on flights scheduled for March 12 and 13, according to the latest report by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).

The disruptions stem primarily from restricted operations within the Doha Flight Information Region (FIR) in Qatar and the Emirates FIR in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where only strictly limited flight corridors are currently permitted.

Qatar Airways has announced to cancel 13 flights, including nine for passengers and four for cargo, on March 12 and 13, directly affecting nearly 2,000 travelers. Similarly, Emirates has suspended its EK364/EK365 pair on the Dubai–HCMC route, impacting about 1,300 passengers during this period, though it maintains other scheduled services to Hanoi and Danang.

Meanwhile, Etihad Airways has managed to resume its EY430/EY433 passenger flights between Abu Dhabi and Hanoi, transporting nearly 1,000 passengers as cargo operations continue as planned.
