Vietnam fires 21-gun salute for South Korean President Lee Jae Myung’s state visit

HCMC – Vietnam marked the arrival of South Korean President Lee Jae Myung with a 21-gun salute on April 22 during a welcome ceremony at the Presidential Palace presided over Party General Secretary and State President To Lam.

The ceremony, conducted with the highest protocol for a head of state, took place in the afternoon as the South Korean leader and his spouse arrived at the Presidential Palace. The two leaders reviewed the guard of honor while the 21-gun salute was carried out at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long.

After the ceremony, the two leaders attended a photo session with their spouses before holding talks at the Presidential Palace.

Accompanying President Lee Jae Myung are ministers of science, information and communications, foreign affairs, industry, trade and resources, and land, infrastructure and transport, along with senior presidential aides.

A business delegation is also joining the visit, including Chey Tae Won, Lee Jae Yong, Chung Eui Sun, Koo Kwang Mo, Chung Ki Sun, and Cho Hyun Joon.
