HCMC – Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son gave 10 patients certificates stating they are Covid-19-free as well as hospital discharge certificates at Hoa Vang Field Hospital in Danang City today, August 13.
Among the latest patients to recover, there is an eight-month-old girl, who tested positive for the coronavirus on July 4. Her mother is being treated for Covid-19 at the hospital.
After being discharged from the hospital, they will continue to be quarantined for another 14 days, VietnamPlus news site reported.
They are the first 10 patients at the hospital to have made a full recovery from the virus.
Up to now, Danang City has announced the recovery of 15 Covid-19 patients.
The deputy minister said that the health sector has mobilized facilities, equipment and medical experts to support Danang, Quang Nam and Thua Thien-Hue with treating patients.
Hoa Van Field Hospital is treating over 170 Covid-19 patients, with many of them having tested negative for the virus once or twice.
Apart from this, two patients were released from the Quang Nam Central General Hospital this morning.
The 42-year-old woman and the 28-year-old man will remain in home quarantine and be monitored by medical workers for 14 days after being released from the hospital, Dinh Dao, director of the hospital, told VnExpress.
They are the first two patients to recover from the virus in the south-central coastal province of Quang Nam.
Dr. Mai Van Muoi, deputy director of the Quang Nam Health Department, said that 73 Covid-19 patients are being treated at the Quang Nam Central General Hospital and the Quang Nam Regional General Hospital.
Among the 883 confirmed cases of Covid-19, as many as 421 patients have made a full recovery, while 18 others have died of the virus.
