New business registrations jump 42%, FDI reaches US$24.8 billion

Vietnam recorded more than 94,800 new business registrations in the first five months of 2026, up 42.1% year-on-year, while registered foreign direct investment rose 34.9% to $24.81 billion, government data released on June 3 showed.
