HCMC – Shilla Monogram Danang has launched “Dat Vang” (The Resonance of Earth), a cultural initiative that brings together contemporary music and visual arts as part of the resort’s ongoing “Meet the Artist” program.
Located between Danang and Hoi An, the resort said the project is designed to explore the relationship between heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary artistic expression.
The initiative features Dan Do, a Vietnamese contemporary music ensemble known for creating original instruments from bamboo and ceramic materials. Over nearly 15 years, the group has developed more than 30 instruments and built a distinctive performance style that combines traditional materials with contemporary musical experimentation.
The project also showcases works from French artist Mathilde Granveau, whose ROOTS collection draws inspiration from her travels across Europe and Asia. Her works translate local landscapes, cultural experiences and memories into geometric visual compositions.
Through the collaboration, performances by Dan Do are presented alongside Granveau’s artworks, creating a dialogue between music and visual art, according to the resort.
Karim Meziane, general manager of Shilla Monogram Danang, said the initiative reflects the resort’s commitment to cultural engagement and aims to connect guests with Vietnam’s cultural heritage while supporting artists and creative communities.
Managed by The Shilla Hotels & Resorts, the hospitality division of Samsung Group, Shilla Monogram Danang has positioned cultural programming as part of its guest experience strategy.
The resort has 309 ocean-view guestrooms, wellness facilities including Sulwhasoo Spa, and therapeutic gardens.
According to the resort, the Dat Vang project reflects growing interest among travelers in experiences that combine hospitality with cultural and artistic engagement.
