HCMC – Nguyen Le Mi Sa, a 37-year-old resident of Danang City, collapsed and died while riding her motorbike after a burning garbage pile in Dien Minh Commune, Dien Ban Town of Quang Nam Province, exploded, causing a loud bang, a local official confirmed this morning, August 27.
The incident occurred at some 8:30 a.m. when she was riding past the garbage, which was being burnt alongside DT608 street by a local resident.
Sa, who was riding the motorbike with plate number 43C1-814.03, was confirmed dead after the explosion.
An official from Dien Ban Town said the sound could have been caused by mines left over from the war or explosives in the trash pile.
On being notified of the incident, the competent forces of Dien Ban rushed to the scene to cope with the aftermath and begin an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
